The best of fashion and tech are coming together for DecodedFashion’s upcoming Summit taking place in our very own NYC. As you know, MBF is a huge fan of anything
that combines fashion and technology, so naturally we are really excited to
blog about this upcoming event.

If you don’t know much about Decoded Fashion’s Summits, this
is the place to be to explore wearables and retail innovation. This years event (on November 18th and 19th) includes over 100 speakers, master classes for new ideas and practices for entrepreneurs, and even a “Mentorship
Hub” for one-on-one meetings with executives and investors.
The highlight of the summit is “The Fashion Pitch," a
competition looking for the best in wearable start-ups. This year, the panel is looking for wearable
devices that are not only functional, but also beautiful enough to be worn as
fashion. Only one winner will be picked and given unimaginable
exposure and help to launch their start-up.
Previous years speakers
included designers Zac Posen and Stacey Bendet. This years speakers include
Jennifer Hyman, CEO and Founder of Rent the Runway, Lauren Sherman, Editor and
Strategist at Fashionista, and Uri Minkoff of Rebecca Minkoff, who we saw
earlier in the year at a Google event. We recommend going if nothing else to
listen to Uri speak on how fashion and retailers can incorporate new
technologies to improve business.
